Well for goodness sakes, Christine, thank you! It's kind of a funny thing that so many people think of Kansas as Dorothy and ToTo, along with flat land, no trees, borrrrinnnngg!, and part of it is. Where we live, it is beautiful. The further east one gets, it is more and more beautiful. The little town of Council Grove is in east central Kansas, and gorgeous. The Flint Hills are lands that are almost impossible to farm. The first few inches of the surface are fertile, but not enough depth before hitting pretty much solid rock. That being the case, it turns out to be perfect for grazing cattle. The hills are rolling, with beautiful valleys and occasionally trees. Every spring all of the previous years grass is burned off. In a few very short weeks, it comes back as beautiful deep green grass, and acres of wild flowers. National Geographic Had a really nice spread about them, with a number of mind blowing aerial photographs. We hope to be up there when they burn next year. I'm sorry to have gotten off on such a chamber of commerce lecture here. I'm sure you've notice before that I can be a little talky.Once again my Friend, I deeply appreciate your kind words. God Bless, Don
