Description
According to the signs on the big red barn, this is a "Missouri Century Farm," a designation that can be given to Missouri farms that have been continuously owned and farmed by the same family for at least 100 years. With that kind of history, it's fitting that the family chose to put a quilt block on the barn. Another sign on the barn informs us that the quilt pattern is called "The Bandstand." I liked the way the farm pond in the foreground reflects the barn and outbuildings. This image is number twelve in my "Quilt Barn Collection." Located on Highway 179, near the tiny little community of Marion, Missouri.
