Description
Tango by Karen Cook - Spring has arrived in Nova Scotia bringing with it the rituals of breeding season in nature. The male ring necked pheasant displays his magnificent plumage in an effort to attract the attention of the female pheasant. His efforts go unheeded. I think he is saying ' If you would only LOOK at me, you would see how handsome I am" It takes two to tango!

Neat capture. I did not know male and female pheasants looked so different from each other.
Karen Cook replied:
There really is quite a difference. The girls are dull brown and drab to blend in to the surroundings when on the nest.
