Description
A cowboy in a remote out house being surprised by a black bear and deserted by his horse. This scene is on a grassy hillside meadow in the rocky mountains. The foreground has lush green and yellow vegation punctuated with boulders casting deep burnt umber and blue shadows. There is a huge ponderosa pine framing the left side of the oil painting casting dark shadows in the background of the outhouse. The privy has the door slightly open with a cowboy hat hung on the corner of the door. Along with the hat is a sixgun in its holster with a belt full of bullets. The cowboy inside can't be seen by the viewer. The black bear is looking inside to see whats up. The outhouse is painted in warm yellows and burnt siena with a touch of green. The sun is shining brightly on the right side of the privy casting shadows from the pine tree. The cowboys horse is running away down the path from where it came without its rider. The back ground is a field of boulders, tall grass and spruce trees. The side of the mountain gives way to a cerulean blue sky with white summer clouds. Its hard to say if the cowboy is going to be OK. But ,I don't think the black bear is going to go in after him! Lee, What a wonderful work of art. I sure wouldn't want to be surprised sitting in the outhouse by that beautiful bear. I love this.

Oh, I wished you would keep talking about what happens next. Could you possibly now work on the follow up? This is so totally wonderful, Lee.
