I came upon this mountain scene while driving through the small town of Wrightwood in the San Bernardino Forest. The sunflowers were large and healthy, dwarfing the view to the entryway to the store... a beautiful old cottage cabin. I can remember how for years this location was "The Yankee Peddler", a candle store. Lots of businesses come and go in this town that is built on tourism and wild weather extremes. 110 degrees in the summer and 15 degrees in the winter!
