Description
A sunflower field in Deer Park Washington seems to take on a human personality grasping for the last light of the day just happy to be in the spot they are with a beautiful sunset. The field is located next to a busy highway so there are no less than 10 cars pulled off to see the botanical spectacle. It is almost a distraction to drivers but at the same time people are mysteriously drawn to pull over and check out the field of sunflowers. They are doing everything from grabbing a quick pic for their Facebook page to taking family pictures. Every now and then there is the occasional senior photo or even wedding photo taken in this field. So great to see how a simple field of sunflowers can attract so much attention and generate smiles forever. There is such a positive vibe coming from everyone you see. But on the flip side this is a crop. This 80 acre field will be harvested after the first frost and sold for bird seed. Each acre will generate over 2,600 pounds of seed to be sold at a price of $520 a ton. That will be a nice payday. It is not often where a farmers crop will attract people non stop that even just stop and enjoy the beauty before them.
