I loved these yellow bees settled on a sunflower at the edge of a prairie field. It was a wonderful summer's day in the grasslands of Colorado. Many people think of Colorado as the home of '14ers', mountain peaks over 14000 feet and few recall the miles of wheat and grass in the eastern part of the state. This scene is typical for much of the heartland of the USA.
