Description
Can you believe this started out as a painting of Grandma and Allie on the Beach? In a paint over I tried to capture the 'essence' of summer coming on in full glory...a previous (sedate) version is posted on FAA. Finally last night, I took a large house paint brush to the work indulging in pure gestural painting. I came to what I had envisioned.

You may have saved this from another "repaint"...Maybe I'll stretch another canvas and do something similar..It's amazing how much one can imagine where there is a hint of water and sails...

Thanks so much Madalena! After I finished I thought maybe it looked a little too "Fifties" 9as in 1950s) but then I LOVED the fifties!
