"Stormy Emotions" by Stephen R Killeen. 2015.

I was thinking about turbulence and turmoil and mixed emotions... how things can turn quickly... like a wave crashing down... and how you can also end up riding on that wave of emotions or surfing on it. Emotions are such powerful things.... sometimes more powerful than many circumstances in life. One moment you can be struggling and the next happy.... and then remembering something or someone and missing them. Storms can come upon you suddenly.

I was thinking about duality... light and darkness... day and night...
and about nature... how waves on the ocean can look when a storm is rolling in... how the sky can look when thunder starts and the clouds begin moving faster.

When I was making it I started to see a hand and an arm... so I focused on that and reworked that part of it and made it into a woman's arm with a tattood forearm... and she's reaching into the wave in the center.

Another Artist told me it looks like a dragon storm. People see different things. I always find that interesting about Art... how people see things so differently with the same image.
