Description
The stinkhorn mushroom is an extremely varied fungus; this example is completely orange at its present stage of development but others are white, black, greenish, pink and other colors and their shapes vary widely, too. At some point, they all develop a foul-smelling slime that attracts flies and other insects which then carry the spores to other places on their legs.
