Description
Lyrics from Judy Garland's famous "Over the Rainbow":
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow. Why then, oh, why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow why, oh, why can't I?
Those lyrics have made an impression on me so many years later since the first time I ever heard them in the amazing and symbolic movie "The Wizard of Oz"! I know that for many, that is also true! Remember that a rainbow can, technically, only happen after rain, as the sun's rays refract and are reflected in the water droplets...creating a rainbow; however, symbolically, in our spiritual lives, we can only experience the brightest times of our lives--seeing a glimpse of God's Glory--after we have gone through trials or tribulations (symbolized as rain) and come out on the "other side" of our faith when we learn to put our trust in Him and in His Everlasting Covenant with us! I hope that you find your "rainbow" in your life and never give up in pursuit of the happy times and the place where dreams really come true!
Please note: This rainbow is not an exact scientific representation of a full rainbow in primary colors, because only a paintbrush, the naked eye, and a ruler were used in this painting!
