lazarus curse
sleep ran away with the circus
another night
when memories and desire
colluded to devil me
with that old hot aching
for what i craved
and you never would give
i needed to anesthetize my mind
i needed to cool my blood
i walked in darkness down to the sea
and watched the waves perform
their endless perfect ballet
not a cloud
gauzed the blueblack bowl of heaven
lit with fairytale moonlight
but the stars -
my god!
the stars...
the sky wept diamonds that night
each one a perfect replica
of every tear i shed for you
oh jesus
deliver me
from visions of you
forever taunting
erase the honeyed agony
of this dark hopeless haunting

RC, this piece features a beautiful starry night, with an equally beautiful earthscape. I love the colors and the composition as well as the concept! l/f
