This galaxy, also known as Messier Object 104, M104 or NGC 4594, is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation Virgo. It has a bright nucleus, a rather large central bulge, and a beautiful dust lane that makes it look like a sombrero (a hat). The bulge, with its central super-massive black hole, is a source of synchrotron emission.
