Description
This is Dixe Belle age 5, she was found running down a country road on her way to no where with her two sisters. Just three little puppies who had been dumped on the road. Her other sisters got homes right away, but no one wanted Dixie Belle. She was part of a rescue group and lived on a back porch as all of the kennels were full. Dixie Belle came as a foster dog and never left. She remembers even five years later that she had been lost. From time to time she runs to us and gives those unexpected hugs...yep...really...hugs. She is always at my feet and never leaves my side. Her faithful heart speaks of the Lord's love for us. He never , ever will leave nor forsake us. We are so glad Jesus gave us Dixie Belle. She is simply beautiful and represents those rescue babies that are so glad to be loved. Adopt a Rescue....you'll have a faithful friend! live loved, deborah montana

Omg - she looks so much like my Hiway who my late husband found as a puppy in the middle of the (you guessed it) highway. She is the best, most loyal dog I've ever known. I have a few pics of her in my Animals gallery. I too (as Michael said) wonder if they could be related. Love this sweet portrait!! VF

Michael, I see what you mean about LuLu. I think they have the same focused love and contentment. She has been with us for almost 6 years now. Her best friend is Riley who is a dobie mix abour 70 pounds. He thinks he is the size of a teacup poodle!

Beautiful portrait, Deborah! We have a rescue dog as well. Lulu came to us about 3 1/2 years ago and looks like she and Dixie Belle could be related!

Deborah, I agree, she is a beautiful dog! Her coloring is gorgeous and you captured a strong and calm demeanor.
