SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS by Lynn Bauer was taken after a much needed spring storm that watered the parched hills of Simi Valley in Southern California. A few earlier showers have helped the hills to turn green...but, much more rain is needed to quench the drought that has overtaken our land. A beautiful rainbow appeared in the clouds to give witness to this true "shower of blessing." I would love to believe that it is also a promise of more rain to come, and that we will soon see an end to this long drought!!
Simi Valley is located in the eastern end of Ventura County, just bordering the San Fernando Valley in the northern end of Los Angeles County.
