Description
"Arctic Fjordland Shooting Star Aurora, Bjrnsand, Vestvgy, Lofoten, Nordland County, Norway"
An iconic symbol of the European North; the Western region of the Scandinavian Peninsula is covered with a vast network of rugged mountains and fjordland, (known as the "Kjlen," or "Scandinavian" mountains). A strong symbol to the Norwegian identity, the majestic and rugged coastal fjordland once attracted the Vikings, and has inspired Nordic lore and mythology for centuries.

Beautiful aurora - my dream is to witness this splendid heavenly spectacle. Congratulations on your 1st place win in the recent Its a kind of Magic contest.
David Broome replied:
Thank you very much Nikolyn! Such a spectacle does seem like a dream come true, as you watch it unfold before your eyes. Truly magical...! I am confident that you will get to experience the magic one day!!! :) Alaska, Canada, Norway and Scandinavia are all a short hop away from Nebraska in the 21st century. I know you will capture Nature at its finest! ;)

Thank you, Megan! I've never seen them from Minnesota, but I imagine it is a great place to watch them from... Especially on the warm summer nights! :) I hope that this photo brings more feelings of happy nostalgia than it does homesickness! :)
