Dawn's horse, Chispa, died suddenly and tragically as a young horse due to lightning, which devastated everyone who knew her. Shana was purchased to be Dawn's main riding horse some time after that and Dawn adores Shana, also, who has never given Dawn a lick of trouble. She's a sweet and beautiful, gentle horse and Dawn is able to trust her completely.
