Panorama of Sedona as seen from Airport Mesa
November 2012: My family took a short trip out to Arizona to visit friends that had recently relocated there from Salt Lake City. They took us out to Sedona. Of course, I knew Sedona was scenic so as soon as I heard we were heading out there, I looked for places to take photos. There are MANY places. One such place I wanted to take a picture from at sunset was on Airport road on Airport Mesa. I wasn't the only one though - the place was packed. This photo was generated by stitching several shots together and is appropriate for a very large print. As a gift to the family that hosted us in Arizona, I printed a large 15" x 45" which now hangs in the offices of the Ley Institute of Plastic & Hand Surgery Clinic in Tucson, AZ. Sometimes the aesthetic qualities of art derive from the back-story that led to the generation of that art - the people and emotions that inspired the work. This one owes its life to the Ley family.
