Description
This image is a digitally enhanced different representation of the original of this image of the same name in my FAA portfolio. This is created from a photograph I took of a bush cave on Dangar Island, which is a small island in the middle of the Hawksbury River in NSW Australia. The cave was part of many natural wonders of nature that I enjoyed as I strolled around the island on its one and only road, which made its way around the island, when I took this photo,
Walking along this road allows those fit enough to do this, spectacular views of the Hawksbury River, fishing boats, as well distant mainland and other views, as the road makes it's way up and around the top of the island.
I love caves and have always found them mysterious and full of story, since I can well imagine the refuge these secret places have given to animals and native aboriginals over recent and past long forgotten times. The rocks in this area are quite often made of sandstone since this place is not far from the ocean, with the river leading to the Tasman Sea eventually.
The natural sunlit area outside of the cave only adds to the drama and sense of potential story and mystery to this image and naturally highlights the dramatic of effects of shadow and light. The thousands upon thousand of years that it has taken to form this cave is a continuous source of fascination for me as well, which naturally fires up my imagination.
I've added texture along with added digital effects to create an extra sense of mystery and dynamic interest (or drama) for those who may prefer the difference that this image has over that of its original.

Exciting and inviting image, Leanne! Yet it "asks a question."
Leanne Seymour replied:
Thanks Lynda for your nice comment and yes, that question could be "If you dare?".....after all there could be anything living in or around this cave!
