Description
This painting is now part of the Musee d Agesci permanent collection in France.
A young girl is sewing a ribbon on her dress. Around her lay ribbons and spools of thread. This is painted in the classical realism style.
With this painting, I paid particular attention to the design and the careful placement of the figure in proper balance with the environment, the window, and the antique sewing box. I always make preparatory sketches. I do not start painting until I have it all worked out_the design, contrasts and colors in this order. That is especially true for my classical works.
