Description
Northern Saw-whet owls are tiny. About the size of a can of soda. This one is a common visitor at Beaver Lake Nature Center in upstate NY during the winter season. I rarely catch him with his eyes open during the day time. It is always a treat to see him.
A touch of nature has a place in all of our lives. It brings a sense of peace and beauty to our homes. My goal is to bring nature to people who are unable to or can't find the time to get out and explore the natural world for themselves.

Excellent Image! I guess in need to go to Beaver Lake more often when I'm in that area!
Rebecca Brooks replied:
Thanks Dave.. Let me know when you will be around.. I'll give ya the tour. :) There is also a very social Ruffed Grouse in the area that walks with you down the trail. So cool

Fabulous capture, he was certainly watching you! lf
Rebecca Brooks replied:
Yes he was Michele.. I go out looking for this little owl quite often. I am sure he sees me more often than I see him.
