ONE OF MY SOLD IMAGES
This world-famous landmark and tourist destination, the Golden Gate Bridge, connects the San Francisco mainland with the lovely arts community of Sausalito, California. It's always special to see it in any form. But what are the chances that a sailboat would appear at the precise time I was framing this picture, and that it would be prophetic. I often wonder. That's the back-story behind this classic color photo of San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge, with a sailboat about to pass beneath it. Imagine, too, being in that boat. What a thrill!
The angle of the span of the bridge leads the eye into the photo, and across San Francisco Bay, with fog adding a bit of mystery. This view does not include the arch at the far left. You will find that in another view of the bridge of this gallery. Please compare all of my Golden Gate Bridge images to see the differences in size, color, and points of view, including monochrome (black-and-white).
