"Rusty Ring" by Debbie Oppermann. This rusty, weathered, corroded iron ring bolt was probably in use many years ago to tie up the boat before the dock was built. I find these fascinating, as you can find them in very interesting places, attached to rock, it seems in the middle of nowhere and you have to wonder about the history of why it was put there and what purpose it served.
