Description
Rocky Mountain Stream is a landscape painting of a mountain valley. The viewer is looking down a river with reflections of the distant mountain and pine trees. The painting is framed on the right with a huge shade tree shadowing the water in the river in the foreground. You can see colorful leaves in the waters ripples and on the rocks next to the bank of the stream. On the left of the river are some cat tails still in the shade. The left side of the painting is home to a small oak in autumn colour. The right near distance is a hillside of boulders, tall grass of golden fall and pine trees. The more distant pines are reflected in the water of the stream. In the far distance are blue green foot hills covered with a thick evergreen forest. In the far distance is a huge snow covered purple and white mountain. The scene is finished off with a bright thalo blue late summer sky with a wisp of clouds
