Description
This image is a single long-exposure photograph taken in the dark. The 'brush' is the image of a piece of Bornite (Peacock Ore) Stone, projected by an iPhone.
Peacock Ore is a name used to describe the beautifully iridescent mineral Bornite. Charlatan rockers often sell the much more common mineral Chalcopyrite, chemically heat treated to enhance the colors. I actually have no idea if this is Bornite, but I like to think so. My sister gave it to me, and she's the real deal.
Bornite was first described in 1725 in Bohemia (also the real deal) and is named after Ignaz Elder von Born (1742-1791). von Born was an Austrian mineralogist, Freemason, member of the Illuminati and Mozart's bff.
