Snow and Ice ~ Road Closed. This road happens to be the intersection of the Blue Ridge Parkway near the town of Meadows of Dan, and Black Ridge Road, in Virginia.
Not a road you want to be on, regardless what you may be driving, when there's snow, ice, and/or fog.

Wonderful capture - and yet the road looks too clear to be closed! Beautiful!

Thank you so much, MT Bobbins. We have been "caught out" on this Parkway in this kind of weather, before the signs were in place, and regardless the vehicle - 4wd - no matter what it may be...there's ice in those curves. Even when you don't think it's there, it reaches out and grabs you. We avoid it, totally, when the signs are up. Plus, you get a ticket :)
