"Reflections At Hoover Dam"
I captured this photograph while visiting the Hoover Dam in 2004 and then worked the image into a surrealistic venue through digital means, incorporating many different facets of texture and filtering. I was looking for something with a futuristic yet urban feel. I think I succeeded in touching the other side of life.
Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. The story of this dam and the efforts and sacrifices to bring it to reality are a lesson of man's ingenuity and determination.
