Description
One day I decided to through out a bunch of old makeup. They do say that you should not keep it around for years, that it goes bad and it could harbor bacteria and stuff. So I emptied my entire collection of lib color onto the floor to sort through it. To my surprise, there were close to 80 items here, most of which I had not used for ages - so why hang onto the clutter, one asks. Well, I did get rid of most of this mess (which has been replaced almost in entirety), but I had to take a picture of this excess - just think of the dollar investment in this display; and the promises these things made to entice me to buy them were empty.
I need this picture to inspire myself not to indulge in expensive whims, not to buy something just for the sake of spending money, to pick one or two flattering shades for my makeup needs and to have on hand only a couple of good-quality tubes that I will use. Learning how to let go of things that no longer serve us well (or at all) is a difficult but necessary lesson.

Nice...I was drawn to the composition and the subject !

Thank you, Maria. The pile was just spread out on my floor and I took numerous snaps, but it took some cropping and flipping to get the most pleasing arrangement. I appreciate your comment.
