Description
This is the third in the trilogy of roads into Singleton Lake. An even number of paintings is not enough and three is a prime number anyway. It is much more esthetically pleasing to hang a grouping of three paintings anyway. This view is looking eastward along Red Horse Lake Road toward the stop sign at the end of Jonas Street.
Perhaps Red Horse Lake Road was so named because "red" would be the colour of any horse running along the iron-oxide laced soils that comprise the road. "Furnace Falls" was the first name for Lyndhurst, the location of the first iron smelting operation in Ontario and maybe even Canada.
