Description
On August 15, 2015, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Acadians of Louisiana, fondly known as Cajuns, celebrated 250 years of the Catholic faith being brought to the bayous of Acadiana. There was a Eucharistic procession from Cecilia, Louisiana, to St. Martinsville, Louisiana, a solid day of prayer and pilgrimage along the bayou as an expression of love and thanksgiving to Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, Who continues to sustain His faithful ones with his Body and Blood in Holy Communion. This image is representative of that momentous day in south central Louisiana.
