I feel that I know you now Marsha. I have been perusing your site and "Pink Hibiscus" appealed to me very much--especially the background. Did you use sea-salt in the wet for the texture?. I love the way we take more notice of the websites from the comments of different artists. I appreciate your "Seaweed Search" --I am inspired to do more of the children and Seaside pictures which I am presently working on with great enjoyment.

Thanks so much, Val....glad you're recognizing my work. I love what you do so much. And yes, that's salt I used on the background....just plain table salt.

Hi Marsha, Thank you for your comment :-) Hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers, that is one subject I cannot do well in painting especially with watercolors, the medium is not very forgiving but it is a challenge and I will someday master :-) Keep up the beautiful work Marsha.

OH this is gorgeous! My (peach) hibiscus has just come into bloom for the first time - what a beautiful flower and you've captured it perfectly here! Thank you for your lovely comment too!
