Description
In the past, apothecary's would advertise themselves using a device called a Show Globe. A glass shape that would hang in a window or just sit there. Often filled with colored water (colored by them because they were surrounded by many staining chemicals). There isn't a lot know about the color choices they used. Some say that Red was chosen if there was a plague in the city. Green was used to show there was no plague now.
Later on colored glass globes were used, as the old method would stain the glass.
Show globes are kind of like the barber pole of the pharmacy world. They aren't used much more these days though.
