Seven different trees live on Phantom Ship, an island in Crater Lake. There are also colonies of violet green swallows, and several varieties of wildflowers and lichens living there.
Crater Lake National Park - Oregon. At over 1900 feet, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in North America. It was formed around 7,700 years ago by the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama. It has no inlet or outlet, and is fed by rain and snow.
