The day after a September snowstorm in Ouray, Colorado, I went up to Crystal Lake to photograph Red Mountain with the sunrise as a backdrop over the lake. As I was waiting for the sunrise, I turned around and saw this beautiful sight-- the clearing fog revealing snow-covered Mt. Abrams. I like this image much better than the one that I had originally envisioned. I have printed this as a Christmas card for myself. It is beautiful!
