Description
An adorable little
hummingbird sits
amid the succulent
plants at the Santa
Barbara Zoo.
Although most of
the hummingbirds
have migrated for
the winter, I still
found quite a few
hummingbirds hanging
out in this area of the
zoo. California is
one of the few places
that stays warm enough
to keep some of these
beautiful little migrants,
and apparently, they
enjoy the coastal
atmosphere and plants
at the zoo! The plants
that they seemed to be
most drawn to were the
succulents that are
normally found in the
desert...which makes
perfect sense, as the
desert is where they
bulk of the hummingbirds
have migrated to at this
time of year!
