Description
Rusty's Lament
Abandoned in a lay by
with drops coming off my pane
hiding my sorrows
as they flow down the drain
Passed over by owner
for the latest new thing
now attracting the pandas
and the policemen they bring
But once we were happy,
every day I were cleaned
and turtle waxed weekly
and my owner would sing
And my sparkplugs were running
as we travelled round th' hills
enjoying the countryside
its pleasures and spills
But my owners eyes wondered -
as his love he had for me
were drawn to a new model
and I looked all scrappy
So I sit by the wayside
hoping for luck
that my journey isn't the last one
on the recovery truck.

Wow - perfectly macabre ... and great title. Guns and Roses song popped in my mind when I first viewed "I used to love her but I had to kill her".
