Description
Inspired from my Pacific Northwest travels, love of nature and the many moods of the four seasons. Discovering and enjoying remote places from which I've experienced such content and peace, capturing it with brush strokes or camera, it's my wish to share that with you. So, for a moment, ... be still.
Often it is that I will wander off from camp with the dog in the warm summer light, in the forest to see where a path or road goes. An abandoned two bedroom cabin, barn and stall was near missed in dense forest growth a ways off the road. Investigation revealed hand honed furniture, ( bench, chair, table and cabinets,) vintage cook pots, utensils and tools. What was left of windows, the glass was from early years and wavered.Time weathered horse tack, plow, sickle and other garden implements were in the barn and there was overgrown evidence of a former garden plot. I wondered if the cook wood stove had been brought in by horse and wagon or vehicle.
