This is a closeup of old Mexican pots at one of street markets in the old town of Sedona, Arizona. Colorful and large these traditional ceramic or clay pots are very decorative. The ones that caught our attention were painted red inside and had a layer of golden yellow glaze on the outside. Most vessels were in earth tones and embellished or enhanced with wrought iron decorations and handles. All pottery has rich texture, the style is usually Spanish or Mediterranean, they have very earthy, distinct and authentic feel to them. They are a feast for the eyes and one of the great local attractions to enjoy on your travels to the American Southwest.
