Towards the end of my Australian trip we had a day on the Whitsunday Islands, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Here we met the Australian Raven (Corvus coronoides) and a very sinister bird they are indeed ;0)
Fiercely intelligent and fearless, the white eyes with the blue ring around the pupil bore right through you - a memorable meeting up close with this fine specimen!
