Description
Ogunquit Beach, Maine is spring, summer & fall bliss!
TripAdvisor rates Ogunquit Beach on of the Top 25 Beaches in the United States and this long peninsula of sandy beach and grassy dunes stretches for three and a half scenic miles, forming a natural barrier between the Atlantic Ocean from the Ogunquit River. It is also a natural spot for beach-goers to enjoy plenty of summertime fun, swimming and bodysurfing in the waves, relaxing in comfy chairs under an umbrella, sunbathing on a beach blanket, or walking the wide sands in search of shells and driftwood, all amid the big open ocean views. At the south end of the beach there is a large parking lot (fee charged), public restrooms, outside showers for rinsing off, and picnic tables. There is also a hotel, gift shops, snack bar and several restaurants. In the nearby village of Ogunquit there are gift shops, cafes and restaurants, groceries and motels. The midsection of Ogunquit Beach is known as Footbridge Beach, and is accessed by a footbridge across the Ogunquit River. Lifeguards are on duty in-season. There is ample parking (fee charged), a boat ramp for launching small boats, and restrooms. The far end of Ogunquit Beach is called North Beach, where there is a large parking area (fee) and restrooms. A short path leads to the expansive beachfront.

Marcia, I photograph the ocean as often as I can. This one is truly Out Standing. So mellow & easy on the eyes!
