You know, sometimes we get so focused on the main subject of an image that we miss other minor details. For instance, I uploaded this image over a year ago and have looked at it many times. This time, something to the right of the flying bird's beak caught my attention. I have never seen that gator on the shore until just now. Good grief! How did I miss that?

Excellent capture, Carolyn. I figured this was Florida. I lived there for almost 20 years (Altamonte Springs, Longwood and then Lake Mary) and remember the scenery well. Beautiful. Vote.
Carolyn Marshall replied:
Thank you, Kristin. Yes, Florida is awesome for nature and wildlife photography. Even the very small parks provide wonderful opportunities for capturing the beautiful scenery here. Appreciate your vote.

Thanks, HW. This was my first time to a rookery. Amazing watching the birds working as a team to build their nests. Appreciate your comment.
