Description
In South Palm Springs California, where the mountains meet the desert, fault lines go up the mountains from the San Andreas Fault where they draw water from the desert floor aquifer and via immense pressure push the water up the Indian Canyons to create year round streams that have preserved the green growth since before the last ice age. These Indian Canyons have been use by Native Americans for many, many thousands of years before Europeans arrived to weather the brutally hot summers with cool oasis’s, shade from Washington Palms and deciduous trees and constantly flowing water, even though they lived in one of the driest deserts in the world. These are some pictures from my many hikes that I like to take up Murray and Andreas Canyon
