I wanted to let myself go to an imaginary place in some scenic mountains somewhere. It was in the late summer to early autumn. No one has ever been here before... the place is amazing, complete with a daytime moon and glowy asters and wildflowers! I wanted to get lost here....
Update: Hurricane Harvey hit the Gulf Coast of TX the day after this painting sold at auction. As the result of flooding and other damage issues, I was never able to find out what the buyer paid for it or even if anyone knew who bought it, but I am pleased it sold! We were asking $500.00. Earlier I posted: I donated "Mountains and Asters" to a charity fundraising event in Kemah, TX for a dear family friend who has been diagnosed with cancer. Let's all hope and pray they can get top dollar to help this dearly loved woman.
