Description
This is a digital finger painting on iPad using stylus and the Inspire Pro app. I used to live in San Mateo, California, and it was just about an hour's drive to Half Moon Bay. The road was spectacular. I never ever will forget the rolling ocean layer (fog like) over the mountains that lasted until mid morning most days and then came back before sunset. But sunset time the rolling fog looked a bit grayish dirty because it got the light from behind whereas in the morning from the east side rather than the ocean, so you could see the white caps on top, gray below and in between it often picked up the colors of the sky.
Half Moon Bay is on the ocean side of the peninsula of San Francisco, just south of it and is famous for it beautiful beaches and large waves. The mountains separating the beach and the rest of the peninsula are not very tall so it does not always get stuck on the ocean side but when it does, it looks like a large ball of cotton or cotton candy spreading out over the tops of the hills hugging it at least 20-30 feet deep and sometimes probably more. It can actually look quite scary if you are not familiar with what it is; the first time I saw it I really felt like the end of the world was coming. :)
There are a few lakes on the way--man made lakes I believe. The road goes right next to a lake, which steams in the early mornings. Really pretty. This painting will look gorgeous on any medium since it is large in size and high in resolution--an adjustment that was made on the computer to compensate for iPad's limited size and print quality.
