Description
On a recent trip to the Kootenays in British Columbia, I had just closed my eyes to take a nap when my husband (who was driving), called "Moose!" I got a tantalizing glimpse of a moose standing close to the highway, surrounded by yellow maple leaves. I got my husband to pull over the car, grabbed my camera, and quickly walked back to where I'd spotted the moose. Finally I saw her but she'd moved to an area with colorful red and green fall leaves. This is one of a series of photographs I captured of her that fine autumn day.
