Montezuma Well is from Verde Valley, Arizona.
Montezuma Well has all the surprise of a lake and daily lush vegetation in the midst of desert. The well is a limestone sink formed long ago by the collapse of an immense under ground cavern. The springs that feed it floe continuously. The Southern Sinagua irrigated crops withs its waters. Traces of their irrigation ditches, trickily coated with lime, can be seen in the park.
