Description
This painting is of the morning mist before it burns off to allow the ships to fish the Hout Bay harbour. Hout Bay is about a fourty minute drive from Cape Town and is home to Seal Island where many sharks have been filmed. It is a delightful villiage with quaint sea food restaurants and a natural harbour at the start of the famous Chapman Peak Drive, a curving roadway with the mountain cliffs on one side and steep drops to the ocean on the other.

Michael, this day I am summoned by the sirens of the sea to delve into your SEASCAPES COLLECTION and your work does NOT disappoint...the Moisture laden air casts a shroud ...whose graceful lifting reveals the magnificence of man’s shipping fleet’s reflection against an awakening Sea. “All that is”...is revealed ...“in the image and likeness of...”

Michael, what a delight to peruse your IMPRESSIONISM COLLECTION this day!...your work is so Light And soul- filled that it takes one’s breath away! I have personally embraced the Chinese definition of art “somewhere between reality and a dream” to expand my love of Impressionism in my work. You boldly walk into that definition and CLAIM IT...but kindly return it for the rest of us to melt into...LF..BRAVO
