Description
The light reflecting off of a single pear inspired this minimalist composition. The contrast of light and dark and the reflecting green on the table encouraged bold brushstrokes and a square format. An underpainting of traditional umber began the painting. A background of blue offsets the darker color of the fruit and the light rests on the pear. It creates a simple image for kitchen or dining.
The original painting was created on a 6x6 inch stretched canvas with professional grade oil paints. It resides with a buyer from the state of Georgia.
