This was taken in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington last September. This is one of my favourite places to photograph the night sky, as it's relatively far from light pollution and has some amazing scenery. This photo, taken near the Artist Point trailhead, shows the Milky Way behind Mount Baker itself. There was some great colour in the Milky Way which the camera was able to capture really well.
