I love shooting ships and metal objects. This particular subject -- a drydocked vessel under renewal -- drew me in immediately. It's hull was an other-worldly vivid blue color. I found it hard to walk away after shooting the structure from every conceivable angle. The knockout color. The sensuous texture. The abstract character of its construction. Great day at the boatyard.
